While a postsecondary degree is required for many professions, completion of a Standard College degree or certificate program does not guarantee employment in any profession. Prior to enrollment, students are responsible to confirm all education, training, and licensing requirements in their chosen field.

Nursing Programs

Credits, degrees, certificates and diplomas earned from Standard College’s nursing programs do not automatically qualify the holder to participate in professional licensing examinations, such as the NCLEX examination, or to practice nursing in Virginia or any other state. All students interested in practicing in the nursing profession should contact the Board of Nursing.
